The response to discovering the artist she began to spend more time on her computer which later lead to an interest in digital artwork, and began experimenting with different styles of digital art work. She began doing concept artwork when drawing digitally but never saw herself as a concept artist even when being an animation student, but upon graduation she was offered an approach for concept art varying from games and animation.
She did work for a channel 4 documentary series called captive showing the life of Tanya Kach, doing storyboards, characters and background artwork. She described in her art book that " I like to read my storyboards with images only to test how expressive the art work is"

Personal response:
I first heard about Loish's work through my University animation group at Salford university and upon looking at her work I was instantly captivated by her style of artwork and her illustrations. I purchased her art book I couldn't help but look through it and try some of the styles and methods of her work and it did help to develop my own style of illustration. In some way it was her work that made me consider approaching concept art in animation and to develop my own style of digital art and find new ways to refine my work.
What I liked about some of her work was the paint strokes that she used in her digital work as it looked like a painting piece and the fact she maintained some details of a sketch within her composition, which was something I was considering doing for my own work. I could some how relate to her style of work and I feel perhaps I wasn't so different from her, I was a natural drawer from a young age, and soon in college I found an interest in digital art after using the wacom tablets. I decided to use this concept artist for my essay as I found she's a good example of the use of colour in artwork be it concept or modern art.
